I feel so grateful to be able to do this project, share my story, work with some amazing people who I have painted who are wise, kind and remarkably inspirational. At the end of the day, we are all the same, all of us started from the little room with the curtains closed. Accepting my illness gave me the greatest gift of getting to know myself. Beat is pleased to announce that they have chosen its first Selected Artist for the charity for 2015, Daniela Raytchev. Daniela’s artistic experience and passion to help raise awareness about our charity will be great addition to Beat’s team. The collaboration will bring about new art related projects such as exhibitions and workshops as well as opportunity to purchase artwork where a percentage of sales will be donated to Beat. Daniela is currently represented by an award winning art incubator and gallery Debut Contemporary Gallery in Nothing Hill and is also working on a project about addictions that will lead to a solo exhibition later on this year. Her experience and understanding on eating disorder as well as background in art and design, with a foundation degree in Art and Design from Central St. Martins and a BA from London College of Fashion, Daniela’s creative talent isn’t restricted to one type of media. She creates expressive paintings with fluid colours and intricate drawings with personal narratives. Her work has been reviewed in the Times, the Huffington Post to name a couple.
